?

Today there are so many social media avenues that you can promote yourself on.  Which one do you choose?  Some social media avenues may work better for some than others.  Having accounts on any of these sites will, first, let your friends and family know about your voice over business and second give you an avenue to post some of your work.  It will also give businesses a way to contact you for future work.

Instagram

Instagram is a great way to post quick pictures as well as short videos displaying and showing some of your work.  You can also choose to advertise to reach a broader audience.

02

Facebook

I know that Facebook has now been considered for "Old Folks"  BUT most businesses and business owners have a Facebook page.  This is a MUST when you are in the voice over business or in any business.

YouTube

YouTube is a great place to display your voice over projects, post videos of yourself and link to videos to projects your voice has been used on.  I have also done some silly/fake PSA's that not only have my voice in the background but had fun doing with my family during covid.

04

LinkedIn

Now you might be saying, "LinkedIn, what is that?"  LinkedIn is a page for true professionals and for posting your voice resume and making connections to other businesses.  I have met a few people on this social media site and have even obtained a few clients.

TikTok

TikTok is also a great place to post your short videos showcasing your talent and what you can do.  TikTok also allows you to gain a lot of followers quickly...gaining new clients and listeners is always good.

Pinterest

You may be thinking "Pinterest"?  Though you  may not make a lot of contacts on Pinterest, you can display ads directing them to your website. Any traffic you get to your website or other social media is good for exposure.

07

Twitter

Though Twitter is not used as much anymore, it is still a great place to post or let people know that you are doing voice overs.  I don't post very often but I still have an account.
